In the gardens, creamy yellow primroses are starting to show their heads, a sure sign that spring is on its way.  After a long, hard winter, there is something to look forward to, at last, a promise of new life, a hope for the future, that everything in the garden will be rosy.

At the end of this month we celebrate Easter, that is not just about fluffy chicks, bunnies and chocolate eggs – Easter is the time when we remember that Jesus died on the cross to bear the punishment for all our sins, but He did not just die, He rose from the dead so that we might have eternal life.

Just as seeing new life in the garden gives us hope for the future, God gives us a promise of new life and hope.  The Bible tells us that God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.  Jesus himself said He came to bring us life in all it’s fullness.  Following Jesus is a life to be enjoyed.  Why not try it and see for yourself?
